Deck Decor

Look what just arrived! It's our new 30-inch outdoor fire pit. We are working on sprucing up our deck for the upcoming spring. We want to make the more of an outdoor living space. The fire pit is the first step. We bought it on overstock.com and only paid $17.98. That's right! That big beautiful fire pit for under $20 :) Ok ok, i'll share my secret. One of my old credit cards gives out 1 point per dollar spent as well as points for paying the minimum balance and keeping a zero balance. Needless to say, i had a lot of points saved up. You can "buy" many things with the points, one of which are gift cards to different stores. So, I "bought" a gift card to overstock.com, applied it to the fire pit, and POOF, a $17.98 fire pit (including tax and shipping) What a deal!

We have decided to take some of our tax return money this year a purchase some deck furniture. Something loungy where we can sit outside with some friends, drink a bottle bottle of wine, play some cards, and relax as the sun is setting. The picture to the right is one of the sets we are looking at. We want something like this that is modern and swanky.

We also want to add an outdoor rug and some outdoor curtains for some nice ambiance. The picture to the left resembles what our deck looks like now, so I think it'll be a nice touch. Plus- it will provide some additional privacy from the neighbors.

We're pretty excited about our new outdoor space. It'll be a blast to hang out there when it gets warmer. Cant wait!
